It has rapidly become our favourite time of the year. The nights get darker, the days get colder and very quickly we find ourselves humming along to “Let It Snow” and snacking on mince pies. As well as the Christmas tunes and food, Christmas brings with it the most wonderful array of smells and fragrances and this is where we find ourselves in our element, naturally.

What are the wonderful smells that make Christmas fragrance so evocative?

This time of the year wouldn’t be the same without those familiar fragrances that are so recognisable as Christmassy smells. Smell and memory are so intertwined that we’re sure many of us only really begin to feel Christmassy when we smell that mulled wine, gingerbread or cinnamon spice for the first time. That and maybe hearing White Christmas….
