This absolute is produced from lichen growing on Scots pine tree in France. Its allergen content is reduced via molecular distillation.

It’s offered diluted at 30% in TEC and almost colourless. Its odour profile is softer than that of oakmoss, less woody and less smoky, with more emphasis on mossy damp notes. Further diluted, it displays a slightly marine vibe and fresh damp woody notes, reminiscent of a forest in the rain.

Our favourite use for this treemoss absolute is in Fougère compositions, but we also use it in Chypres, green florals, woody accords and in Eaux Fraîches. It’s the same material that we use in the base of our aromatic Eau de Toilette Spring Rain.

Conforms IFRA (moss : atranol <100ppm, chloroatranol <100ppm, DHA <0.8%). Atranol and chloratranol conforms with Article 17 of Cosmetic Regulation EC N°1223/2009 and its amendments.
